AviationSimNet is promoted through a growing community of organizations from academia, government, and industry to enable distributed ATM simulations.

Representatives from these organizations have formed an AviationSimNet Standards Working Group that meets as necessary to conduct business such as: 

  • Assess AviationSimNet features as they pertain to current research. 
  • Revise the specification to meet the growing needs of the community. 
  • Extend the Object Model to represent ATM events in simulations. 
  • Share expertise and experience in conducting Air Traffic Management simulations. 
  • Educate partners on the technologies employed by AviationSimNet. 
  • Membership in the Standards Working Group is open to any organization with an interest in conducting shared ATM research.
